FAQs
Q. Where are you based?
A. I am an Irish Soprano but will be moving to Australia in January 2012 and will be working at weddings in both Tasmania and Melbourne.
Q. We haven't a clue what kind of music we want for our wedding! Can you assist?
A. Certainly, that's what I'm here for. If you let me know the general style you're going for (for example, contemporary, traditional, celtic), I will compile a comprehensive list of songs that you might like and email it to you with relevent You Tube links. This gives you time at home to think through the various options, listening at your leisure to different song choices. This process helps to point you in the right direction, without a rushed consultation. Then we finalise things together.
Generally, a few emails back and forth ensures that we've come up with exactly the programme of music YOU want - I tailor everything to suit you and your partner!
Q. Where can you travel to?
A. Anywhere in Tasmania or Melbourne! For some destinations, a mileage fee will apply - details available by requesting a quote.
Q. We are having an alternative wedding. Can you advise us about music for our ceremony?
A. Absolutely. I have performed at civil partnership ceremonies and registry office weddings, as well as Church of Ireland, Church of England and presbyterian ceremonies. I would be delighted to help with the music for your big day!
Q. My partner and I have already hired musicians. Can we book you to sing with them?
A. Yes! I regularly work with musicians whom the couple has already hired. Just let me know their contact details so I can liaise with them in advance. Similarly, if a friend or one of your family members is an accomplished musician, I am happy to perform with them at your ceremony (you might want to audition them first!).
Q. There is a song that is very special to us, and we'd really like it to be performed at our wedding. Can you do this?
A. Yes, of course. The musicians and I are always enthusiastic to learn new pieces - just let us know a few weeks in advance so we can make sure it's well rehearsed.
Q. Do you request a booking deposit?
A. No, I am one of the few wedding suppliers who does NOT require a deposit in advance. In 15 years, nobody has cancelled a wedding booking yet, so I have never needed to ask couples for a deposit.
